About Kirsty Mooney
Like most people, Kirsty Mooney has had a life of highs and lows and fully appreciates that it is almost never straightforward. She was inspired to write this book on observing her two teenage children navigate their adolescence through an epidemic of stress and anxiety amongst young people. Kirsty believes they deserve all the love, encouragement and support we adults can provide as they begin their journey into the wider world.
Following a successful marketing and business career Kirsty changed direction and studied Shiatsu Japanese healing therapy. This helped her to understand the importance of the mind/body/spirit connection. She has also worked as a teaching assistant, chaired children’s panels, volunteered with Parentline, and currently mentors’ young people in need of support. Kirsty is passionate about young people and their well-being. You all deserve to be happy.
Kirsty lives in Edinburgh with her husband Lorcan and their two amazing teenage reasons for this book, Jack & Keira.
